1. Introduction
These terms apply to vehicle diagnostics, electronics, remapping and repair services carried out by Throttle Range Ltd at Unit 3, Riverside Cottages, The Common, West Drayton, UB7 7HQ. By booking work with us, you agree to these terms.
2. Services & quotations
Our services include VAG/PSA diagnostics, ECU coding and remapping, DSG and gearbox repairs, cam belt replacements, wiring fault diagnosis and van repairs. The availability of any service depends on your vehicle’s condition and technical compatibility.
Quotes based on information provided before inspection are estimates. If further work is needed, we will discuss it with you before proceeding. Diagnostic time is chargeable even if you decide not to proceed with a repair.
3. Appointments, drop-off & collection
Workshop visits are by appointment. Please arrange a drop-off time before bringing your vehicle to us and provide all keys and information needed to operate it. Tell us about known faults, previous modifications and any safety concerns.
We will contact you when your vehicle is ready and arrange a collection time. Please collect your vehicle promptly once notified. If you need to change an appointment, please give us as much notice as possible.
4. Payment & release
Payment is due on completion of the agreed work, before the vehicle or its keys are released. We accept bank transfer, major credit and debit cards, and cash. Any additional work or charges will be discussed with you before being carried out.
5. Vehicles on our premises
Please remove valuables and personal belongings before drop-off. We take reasonable care of vehicles while they are on our premises but are not responsible for loss or damage to personal items left inside. Existing damage may be documented at handover.
We are responsible for loss or damage caused by our negligence, subject to applicable law. We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, ordinary wear, or damage arising from defects that were not reasonably discoverable before work began. Nothing in these terms limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
6. Storage & uncollected vehicles
Please collect your vehicle within 48 hours of being told it is ready, unless we agree otherwise. After that, a storage charge of £25 per day may apply. We will contact you about any uncollected vehicle before taking further lawful steps to recover outstanding charges.
7. Diagnostics, testing & vehicle condition
Some faults require additional diagnostic time or dismantling. We will explain any further costs before proceeding. By leaving your vehicle with us, you authorise reasonable road testing and diagnostic logging where necessary to investigate and verify the agreed work.
Vehicles should have sufficient fuel for necessary testing. We will take reasonable care with aged or fragile components, but parts that are already worn or damaged may fail during normal repair procedures; we will discuss this with you if it occurs.
8. Remapping & warranties
Remapping may place additional demands on existing vehicle components. We assess suitability before tuning but cannot guarantee that worn components will not fail later. Tell us about previous tuning and known faults before work begins.
Parts supplied and fitted by us carry a 90-day warranty against manufacturing defects unless otherwise stated. This does not affect your statutory rights. Emissions-control modifications must comply with applicable law; any work restricted to off-road or track use must not be used on public roads
9. Cancellations & concerns
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange a workshop appointment. If you are unhappy with completed work, contact us promptly so we can review the issue and discuss an appropriate resolution. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
